The great thing about Ad-Aware SE is that it automatically checks if the "reference" files needs to be updated when you start.
You will need to be connected to the interent if you want to update this program
1) Double click on the desktop icon:
2) The following window may appear: (it will not appear if you have recently aleady updated it, in that case jump to step 6).
Click on "OK".
3) This window will appear:
Click on "Connect".
4) The following window is:
Click on "OK"
5) Next is:
Click on "Finish"
6) Then the main program window opens:
Click on "Scan Now"
And click on "Next"
7) The system will then start scanning your machine. This may take a good 10 mins before it is completed.
